Pink Sea Thrift

Isn't this a lovely little plant? I always think of it as being a cheerful little thing with its pretty pompoms of deep pink.

I know I'm supposed to dead-head my plants to keep them producing flowers but I often find the seed head just as pretty, so I tend to only remove about two thirds of the fading flowers and leave the rest to run to seed. I enjoy the combination and contrast of the two together but it also gives a natural and slightly overgrown look and feel to my garden which I love......nature know best :)
